Red Earth Organics - About Us
Red Earth Organics is a large group of certified organic lamb producers catering for supermarket chains, the direct sales market and export of frozen and chilled red meat.
All of the growers that sell under the trade mark of Red Earth Organics operate their own certified organic family owned properties, under certified organic guidelines and are audited annually by an independent body.
All of the properties consist of natural native vegetation and as part of being organic, the stock are grazed in a way to protect grass bulk and encourage pasture regeneration. Care is given to protect natural waterways and ecosystems in an attempt to eliminate soil erosion and encourage native flora and fauna.
None of the properties have ever been cultivated and therefore never in their history been treated with chemicals. The properties in our grower group are some of the most pristine chemical free properties in the organic world.
The special stock that we grow deliver a meat with very little connective tissue, this helps to eliminate the chance of the meat being tough or chewy. The fat is un-saturated, very little of it and due to management of the stock and the style of grazing on native pastures, the highest levels of omega 3 are achieved.
